OSEC: Paris Open Science European Conference

In the framework of the French presidency of the European Union, France is organising the Paris Open Science European Conference” which will take place online on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February 2022.

This international conference is being organised with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), the French Academy of Sciences, the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm), the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres), the National Research Agency (ANR), the University of Lorraine and the University of Nantes.

Top-level speakers will contribute their expertise during these two days which will deal with four themes: transparency in health research, which is particularly important during the current pandemic; the future of scientific publishing including the question of economic models; the evaluation of research which needs to evolve particularly to make researchers’ efforts in favour of open science a positive criteria; and source codes and software produced in a research context which play a crucial role in today’s digital world.
