The presentations and videos of the OSEC 2022 conference held in Paris on 4 and 5 February, are available from the OSEC 2022 website.

Opened by Frédérique Vidal, French Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the European Open Science Conference came as part of France’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference, which ran entirely online, brought together more than 2000 participants from five continents. The speakers, internationally recognised experts and high-level decision-makers, offered concrete actions to move towards a more open science.

The discussions on how to renovate research assessment were at the heart of these days and were a major step towards building a coalition for research assessment reform under the aegis of the European Commission, after the release of the Paris Call on Research Assessment.

Other major topics addressed were the transparency of health research, the importance of bibliodiversity and the recognition of open source research software.
