Components of the projet

  • Create a new interface for article authors, enabling them to submit and participate in the indexing of their associated data, or to preview the results, in order to improve the quality of the indexing.
  • Create a new CDS workflow, which will allow data curators to index associated data submitted by researchers in a flexible manner, with minimal human intervention.
  • Create a new user interface, enabling astronomers to query and discover published associated data based on multiple criteria: position, period, wavelength, data type (spectrum, image, cube, time series).
  • In terms of content, create a database of associated data that is as up-to-date as possible.

Major resuts

  • Python prototype for metadata extraction and interpretation in place.
  • Test dataset in use.
  • Quantification of results and quality in use.
  • Prototype on internal GitLab; the Python library ‘assocdata’ is being used by several team members.
  • Implementation of a linter and continuous integration tools to standardise the code.
  • Development of an interface with the Virtual Observatory.
  • Presentation at ASOV 2025 Paris.
