14th Munin Conference on Scholarly Publishing

The Munin Conference is an annual conference on scholarly publishing and communication, primarily revolving around open access, open data and open science. This year’s conference (2019) will be the fourteenth Munin Conference and will take place on 27–28 November at the Tromsø campus of UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

Call for presentations and posters

Submissions are invited for the 14th Munin Conference on Scholarly Publishing, to be held in Tromsø 27–28 November 2019 at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. The Munin Conference is an annual event on scholarly publishing and communication, primarily revolving around open access, open data and other aspects of open science.

This year’s keynotes will be:

  • Arianna Becerril-García, Executive Director of Redalyc, Mexico
  • Alexander Refsum Jensenius, Associate Professor, University of Oslo, Norway
  • Aileen Fyfe, Professor of Modern History, University of St. Andrews, UK
  • Carl Björkman, Head of Nordics at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UK

We hereby welcome abstract submissions for presentations and posters for this year’s conference, on topics including but not limited to:

  • Open Science case studies
  • Research assessment and evaluation
  • Prestige in scholarly publishing
  • Perspectives from early career researchers
  • Scholar-led and community-driven publishing initiatives
  • Funders’ commitment to open dissemination of research
  • Effects of transformative agreements
  • Emerging trends in scholarly communication
