Research into the practices and challenges of open science – 10 projects selected for funding following the ANR’s call for proposals
The context and major issues involved in the call for proposals ‘Recherche sur les pratiques et enjeux de la science ouverte’ (RESO, Research into the practices and issues of open science).
To increase the adoption of open science practices, the details of specific research practices of each scientific community must be taken into account. To identify the requirements and interest of these communities as regards open science practices and issues in a research context, the French National Research Agency (ANR) launched a call for expressions of interest in April 2023 which attracted a great deal of interest from French communities. Analysis of these proposals found there were very diverse expectations and requirements so the ANR launched a specific call for projects on the practices and issues of open science (RESO) which was open to all the scientific communities. This call invited researchers to adopt a reflective and critical approach to observing and studying their research practices in the context of open science. It also aimed to help feed into national and international thinking on open science.
