Components of the projet
- Consolidate the Biens symboliques journal and its open science practices.
- Make the journal a driving force for UPL’s open science strategy by continuing to innovate in multilingual translation and international dissemination.
- Pass on open science experience and knowledge, particularly within the UPL and Condorcet Campus ecosystem (postgraduate colleges, journals, etc.).
Major resuts
- Project focus 1: publication of the two planned issues of the journal in 2023 and production of the following two. Ensuring the journal’s long-term viability through the hiring of a half-time editor/editorial secretary by the CNRS. “Improvement in quality” in terms of scientific journal indexing criteria and open access values (publication of the ethical charter in French and English, publication of guidelines for authors regarding publication-related data, publication of the selection process for thematic issues in French and English to ensure greater transparency, publicising the journal’s partners to ensure greater transparency as well…).
- Project focus 3, “Transmitting”: Success of the European Symposium on Social Sciences and Humanities Journals and the Open-SHS seminar. The seminar’s four sessions were attended online by over 50 people. This enabled discussion among various professionals (publishers, researchers, platform managers, library staff and/or open science support officers in universities) involved in open science issues, within the scope of Paris Lumières University and beyond, thanks to video conferencing.
