Launch of the ‘FIDELIS’, the European network of trusted repositories

Recherche Data Gouv is taking part in the European FIDELIS project which works on creating and consolidating a European network of Trust Digital Repositories (TDRs).

On May 13^th of this year, FIDELIS was launched with a webinar that presented its roadmap and vision for the network.

FIDELIS is a three-year project with funding from one of the many calls for proposals launched in the framework of the Horizon Europe programme which supports the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). It is made up of 24 partners from across Europe and is coordinated by the CSC in Finland.

Recherche Data Gouv became part of the FIDELIS network at the end of 2023. The aims of Recherche Data Gouv’s involvement in this project are to:

• Contribute to the definition of what a ‘trusted repository’ actually is;
• Share and harmonise best practices;
• Manage technical and semantic interoperability thanks to an enhanced use of controlled vocabularies;
• Develop a national strategy that fits effectively into the broader European landscape;
• Boost the international visibility of French research data.
