ALEF

The aim of the Alliance of French Public Scientific Publishers (Alef) is to bring together, promote, represent and support publishing organisations whose mission is to disseminate research findings (Loi Savary, 1984) and which are committed to open science. Alef was founded in 2024 at the initiative of France Universités, INRAE and the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), and has received support from the FNSO. It brings together 59 publishing organisations that contribute to the global reach of French research.
