Open science: Monitoring Progress, Assessing Impact

Rencontre

Open science, as emphasised in the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, promotes inclusive, transparent, and collaborative research practices, ensuring that scientific knowledge is accessible to all. As global adoption accelerates, monitoring becomes essential to assess impact, identify gaps, and strengthen implementation strategies.

Launched in September 2022, Open Science Impact Pathways (PathOS) is a three-year, European Union-funded project dedicated to identifying and measuring the multifaceted impacts of open science. This conference, Open Science: Monitoring Progress, Assessing Impact, is organised in collaboration with UNESCO, PathOS, the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Track, the Open Science Monitoring Initiative (OSMI), and OpenAIRE. It marks the culmination of PathOS, providing a platform to share insights, validate findings, and support the advancement of the principles outlined in the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science. The event also aims to foster collaboration across diverse initiatives.
