Medical Institutional Repositories in Libraries (MIRL) Symposium

Conférence

Save the date for the Medical Institutional Repositories in Libraries (MIRL) Symposium, a free virtual event with a focus on Institutional Repository (IR) management, curation, and promotion in a health sciences environment. The inaugural conference will take place virtually on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

MIRL Symposium 2021 is a platform-neutral conference. Our goal is to gather together IR practitioners and those with an interest in IRs at hospitals, academic medical centers, and other health settings for discussions and sharing of case studies and best practices for digital archiving of institutional content. The conference will be a mix of presentation types; potential topics range from the impacts of the COVID pandemic on biomedical scholarly publishing, to the rise of preprint servers, to strategies for the continued promotion of open access health sciences content.

Please share with anyone who may be interested.  A call for papers and presenters will be coming this summer.

Questions can be directed to Brenda Fay, Librarian Specialist at Advocate Aurora Health.
